Trevin's Quilt

I finished Trevin's quilt a week or so ago but haven't gotten around to posting it until now!

I wanted something different for his quilt so I decided to do raw edge applique instead of normal pieced squares. I wanted to leave spaces between the squares so that I could tie in the dinosaur theme. This is what I (with the help of mom of course!) came up with:

Here is a close up of the stitching. I was going to applique the stars and dinos but didn't want to take all that time cutting things out. I thought it would be fun to just stitch the shapes on.

I was proud of this quilt because I had seen something similar and really wanted to do the raw edge concept but the one I had seen would have been a big pain to do. I (once again with mom's help) came up with this idea so it wasn't so intense for a beginner like me. I hadn't ever designed a quilt really before so I am more proud of this quilt than the others I have done!

Place mat

This is what I bought at Walmart for $3. I am making my own version as a table runner. I am hoping to be done by the end of the week, but wanted to give you a preview. I hope mine turns out even better!

Fall Flower Arrangement

This is my first real attempt at a flower arrangement. I needed something to go on top of my cupboards in the kitchen for fall. I made three of them, so I hope they are not terrible.

Fabric Pumpkins

I like my fabric pumpkins. We changed them a bit from what we saw on u create. Adding a few more darts made them more pumpkin shaped.

Revised Wreath

Mom-thanks for suggesting that I add some color. I think it looks a lot better. Any other ideas?

Little Girl Dress

Here is something else I made for the upcoming birthday. I hope she likes it!

Pants into Skirt

I made these skirts for part of Lexi's birthday present. I just got pants from Savers and cut the legs of and added fabric that I already had. I think they turned out pretty cute, and they were super easy. I'm excited to see her wear them!

I'm counting this as being crafty :) I stayed up late last night making this invitation for Lexi's birthday party. It was late and I was really tired, so I'm glad I still thought it looked ok this morning when I was all the way awake. Anyways, I'm excited about how it turned out, so I thought I'd post it.
(On the real thing there is more writing but I blocked it out since I'm posting it on the internet)
